Solution: "What's Your Diagnosis?"
Diagnostics: MRI

Results: Left intradural extramedullary cerebral mass in frontal region extending under frontal sinus. Highly likely the mass is a meningioma.
Options: Steroid therapy, hydroxyurea chemotherapy, radiation therapy (stereotactic vs fractionated), surgery.
Recommendations: Surgery was recommended because it affords the longest survival and has a high success rate.
Outcome: Griffin had a modified transfrontal/frontal craniotomy with mass removal. He was home 48 hours after surgery and doing well. Acting 100% normal within one week.
Prognosis: 80% cure rate with 20% recurrence. If animals have recurrences, second surgeries are a good viable option with a high success rate.
