Dr. Jennifer Schneiderman

A veterinarian in the Internal Medicine and Surgery Service, Dr. Jennifer Schneiderman has cared for pets at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists since March 2009.
Dr. Schneiderman is a native of the area and grew up in Howard Beach, Queens and Jericho. She attended the University of Delaware and received her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science with a concentration in Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Dr. Schneiderman continued her education at the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.
Internal medicine and cardiology are among Dr. Schneiderman's many professional interests. When she's not busy with her duties at the hospital, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, ice skating, making jewelry and watching movies. She shares her home with a cat named Tom.
DaShaunté Coleman, DVM

A veterinarian in the Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists Internal Medicine and Surgery service since June 2009, Dr. DaShaunté Coleman hails from Atlanta, GA.
As an undergraduate, Dr. Coleman attended Tennessee State University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Science with a minor in Chemistry in 2003. She went on to complete her veterinary education at the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.
She is a member of the Omega Tau Sigma Professional Veterinary Fraternity. Emergency medicine and veterinary surgery are among her many professional interests.
Dr. Coleman has a number of outside pursuits and interests, including cooking, shopping, and dancing. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her Chihuahua, L.B.
Jodi L. Baker, DVM

Dr. Jodi Baker has cared for pets in the Internal Medicine and Surgery Service at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists since June 2009.
A native of Bradenton, FL, Dr. Baker attended the University of South Florida and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 2005. She went on to complete her veterinary education at St. George's University and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.
Veterinary acupuncture, dermatology, internal medicine and small animal/exotic medicine are among her many professional interests. Dr. Baker is a member of the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
When she's not busy with her duties at the hospital, Dr. Baker enjoys painting, cooking and listening to music in her spare time. Her animal companions include two Rat Terriers, Thomas and Pebbles.
Kimberly Levine, DVM
Oceanside, NY native Dr. Kimberly Levine has cared for pets as a veterinarian in the Internal Medicine and Surgery service at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists since June 2009.
She attended Binghamton University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 2005. Dr. Levine went on to attend the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.
A member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, her professional interests include dermatology and feline medicine. Outside the hospital, Dr. Levine can be found fishing, playing piano and going to the beach. At home, she enjoys the companionship of her two cats, Nicholas and Olivia.
Reemy Thomas, DVM
Dr. Reemy Thomas has cared for pets as a veterinarian in the Internal Medicine and Surgery Service at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists since June 2009. A native of Merrick, NY, Dr. Thomas previously practiced medicine at Hope Veterinary Clinic in Brooklyn and completed an externship at the department of diagnostic imaging and ultrasound at the Animal Medical Center.
She completed her undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry in 2004. She went on to attend St. George's University in Grenada and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Diagnostic imaging, pathology and dermatology are among her many professional interests.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Thomas can be found dancing, shopping, cooking, running and reading, among other pursuits.
Sylvia Nagy, DVM
Dr. Sylvia Nagy joined the Internal Medicine and Surgery Service at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists in October 2009. She is a native of Forest Hills, NYC (near Queens).
Dr. Nagy is a graduate of the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi, where she received her degree in Veterinary Technology in 2002. She went on to attend Delaware Valley College and majored in Pre-Veterinary Sciences. Dr. Nagy continued her veterinary medical education at the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. She went on to complete a clinical year at the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Nagy was graduated from Ross University with high honors. During her time in veterinary school, she was selected by professors at Ross University to receive the Small Animal Proficiency Award.
Avian and exotic medicine and surgery, small animal medicine and surgery, emergency/critical care and anesthesia and wildlife medicine are among Dr. Nagy's many professional interests.
When she's not busy with her duties at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists, she can be found out dancing or in the water scuba diving and snorkeling. She also enjoys cooking and listening to music. Most of all, she loves spending time with her pets - three dogs (two Chihuahuas and a Pug) and an African Pygmy hedgehog.
