Staff Veterinarians
Jeanne Harding, DVM

Dr. Harding completed her undergraduate education at the University of Vermont, where she majored in French and Political Science. She later attended the University of North Carolina and was awarded a B.S. Degree in Biology in 1999. Dr. Harding went on to attend the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine under a full scholarship from the Best Friends Animal Society and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. During her time in school, she received numerous awards, including the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Award for sea turtle research she conducted in Puerto Rico.
A member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association, Dr. Harding joined the Atlantic Coast team in 2005 in a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery. Upon completion in June 2006, she later returned to the hospital as a staff veterinarian.
Dr. Harding's pastimes and interests include spending time outdoors, taking walks on the beach and volunteering for animal rescue groups. She particularly enjoys the time she gets to spend with her three dogs, Astro, Diva and Kayla and four cats, Kiska, Jetta, Winston and Crabby.
Gianira Candelario Acevedo, DVM

Dr. Gianira Candelario Acevedo attended Sacred Heart University in Puerto Rico and was awarded her Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences in 2001. Following graduation, she went on to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After finishing her veterinary medical studies and receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006, she completed a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists in 2007. Immediately following her internship, she joined the staff of Atlantic Coast as an emergency/critical care veterinarian.
Dr. Candelario's professional interests include internal medicine, and in July 2008, she started a residency in Internal Medicine at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
During her leisure time, Dr. Acevedo can be found on the dance floor or in an art studio: painting, sculpting and / or drawing. More than anything else, she enjoys passing the time with her two dogs, Federico, a Cocker Spaniel, and Dawson, a Mastiff.
Scott Quick, DVM

A graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Scott Quick was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Quick attended Delhi College and received an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology and North Carolina State University where he received a B.S. Degree in Biology. While attending Ross University, Dr. Quick served as president of the local student chapter of the American Animal Hospital Association. A member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Long Island Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Quick has been a staff veterinarian at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists since 2007. His professional interests include emergency medicine and dentistry.
At home, Dr. Quick enjoys spending time with his daughter, Madison, his two dogs, Tasha and Kia, and his cat, Buddy. Additional leisure time activities that he enjoys include camping, Alpine skiing, boating, fishing, playing baseball, football and rugby.
Nicholas J. Rinaldi, DVM

A native of Port Monmouth, NJ, Dr. Nicholas Rinaldi attended the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Since June 2008, he has cared for pets at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists with a focus on internal medicine and surgery. He is particularly interested in internal medicine and oncology. Dr. Rinaldi completed his undergraduate education at Rutgers University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 2002. He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Rinaldi has a variety of hobbies and enjoys everything from cooking in his spare time to playing football and baseball and going fishing. He is also interested in computers and technology. His dog, Wylie, often joins him on his outdoor adventures.
