Michael Olic, LVT
Rehabilitation Therapy

Michael was born and raised in Long Island New York, and anyone who knows him can tell you that his love and passion for animals started at a very early age. As a child, he was always fascinated with wildlife. He found himself taking in injured animals and rehabilitating them back to health.

While still in high school, Michael attended Barry Tech school for small animal care while working part time at a pet store. After having worked there for 3 years, he left and started his transition into the veterinary field. He immediately enrolled into Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technician Program and earned his Veterinary Technician License in the state of New York. He has worked with and learned from some of the BEST veterinarians in the country, and continues to do so today at Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists.

In 2016 Michael went to The University of Tennessee to study canine rehabilitation. He has been performing rehabilitation exclusively since then and has been working as the Lead Rehabilitation Practitioner at Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists. He has built a program within the hospital that offers many different modalities including orthotics, cold laser therapy, cryotherapy and massage, neuromuscular electric stimulation, ultra sound, and hydrotherapy in addition to a variety of different treatments and exercises. Michael has a certification in penn-hip and pain management and sees patients daily who benefit from these services. Michael intends on continuing and advancing his education and practice in veterinary rehabilitation, and will continue to devote himself to the recovery of all his patients.
